Crayola, Sharpie and other markers on a 3 by 5 index card. Scanner turned the yellow peachy again, and a peril of not planning what your drawing is that sometimes you have to confirm that the things on the sides are counterweights. Also, I know nobody asked, but I am not sponsored, it’s just the materials on hand right now.

Finally figured out a link to go to Instagram! It’s under the links section on the right, and where I will be sharing other things I make. So far it’s mostly abstract little things, but I hope to add more verity as I learn more things, and what I may have crafted (because I also do crochet and other things!) once I figure out a camera or something.

I’m a little worried about burning myself out, as there are so many things I’m doing, and I can already see some things being pushed aside because I don’t have the energy. I do think I’m doing better than before, I don’t get as down when I’m feel like I’m behind on something, and try to remind myself that it’s ok to rest and not think about all the things that I could be doing. But it doesn’t help when there are things that I feel NEED to get done, or I SHOULD be doing, and I don’t have the time or energy for them. Thankfully I’m still a long way off from needing to really drop anything, but I do feel like I need to examine some rough spots with getting things done and see if I can smooth them out a little.

Hope you have a wonderful week, and safe travels!

Sharpie, Crayola, and a random fine tip marker on a 3 by 5 index card. Also, my scanner turned the yellow into a peachy color… 😑

Currently thinking to share the other things I draw on Instagram, because creatures are not the only things make, and it doesn’t really make sense to draw something and not share it when I’m trying to put myself out there.

I’m also thinking to do some live streams this month, as I only have a small stretch of pet sitting towards the end of it. I’m pretty sure I’ve explained in a previous post about why the live streams, but just in case. The reason is because I am hoping to combat the facts that I only interact with a rather small group of people on the regular, have practically no presence online, and I’m not particularly comfortable being in the public eye. And while they may game related right now, I also hope to eventually have the wherewithal to do art ones, because I like sharing what I make and learning what people think about it. And while I know that for some people just watching the process itself can be fascinating or even soothing, I also know that people are curious and may have questions about how or why I did something that I won’t have the answer for later. For example, while I’m pretty sure I started with the big eye feather, I’m not sure why it’s a bird thing, or why it’s pupil is shaped like that.

Now I just have to find the courage to do these things… ugh… Ok. I will post to Instagram, and put a schedule of live streams this week on YouTube. I just need to remember to do so, and not let myself get too worked up about it. Wish me luck.

Hope you all have a wonderful week, and independence day if you celebrate one, and safe travels!!!

Fine line marker on 3 by 5 index card.

I’ve been thinking about my time recently, because I don’t feel like I’ve been making as much art as before, and in the process I’ve discovered that I do not have as much time as I did before to dedicate to it. I can probably do 22 hours, but that’s if everything goes right that week, which I cannot bank on. I’ll keep trying to find that balance between making art and not burning out.

I was also looking over some of my older work, and I think I need to get some nice pens again, because as much as I want to use up the materials I have (which will still eventually happen), having nice stuff to work with is, well, nice.

Hope you all have a wonderful week, and safe travels!

Crayola markers and a Sharpie on 3 by 5 index card (with a hint of pencil).

I did more art this week, and am ahead a couple weeks for creatures to post, which is especially nice because I have pet sitting this week and the next. Therefore I will be able to setup the pictures beforehand and, while I don’t like using my phone for this because it’s a pain, I will be able to finish the posts while pet sitting.

On another note. I downloaded the Instagram app on my computer and it says that I can only edit website links from mobile soooo…. I guess that’s on the back burner for the foreseeable future, as I don’t have the space on my phone. That being said, I should probably still post something on it anyway… I’ll think on it.

Hope you all have a wonderful week, and safe travels!

Fine-line markers on 3 by 5 index card.

Feeling a bit annoyed, as the thing I was using to edit videos is trying to force me to use OneDrive to continue doing so, so now I need to either find something else to use or just do lives. Another annoyance is that Instagram requires you to download the app in order to link a website, so that is going to take even more research now.

Hope you all have a wonderful week, and safe travels!

25-April-2026

Bullet fine line markers on a 3 by 5 index card (found some in my room!). The black bled a little.

Making progress on things is still difficult. Doesn’t help that my sleep schedule got WAY off track, and I’m having a hard time feeling motivated. Also the stove broke mid week, however we should be getting a new one today.

Hope you all have a wonderful week and safe travels!

Fine point pen on 3 by 5 piece of cardstock.

I’ve been home for about half a week, and on the one hand I’m a little frustrated to say that I haven’t really made any progress on stuff and things. On the other hand, my first day back involved helping family, second was feeding missionaries, third was a game session, and that’s on top of the regular shopping and cooking… yesterday I got laundry done, however I didn’t do most of anything else that I meant to do, and instead just listened to music and did nonograms. And I don’t think next week is going to be much different, as I’m pet sitting again for about half the week, and there’s Easter, General Conference, and some birthdays to do stuff for… 😩(at least I’ve found emojis?)

Hopefully I can get some stuff done today.

Hope you all have a wonderful week, and safe travels!

Lined Flower

Sharpies on 3 by 5. Also, I may switch back to just the date instead of trying to name every single one, as there are a LOT of these (about 52 a year if I post one every week) and naming things is not a strength of mine.

Stuff and Things! Everything has been a bit derailed due to an incident with my bed frame, however it has been the kick in the pants I need to get my room figured out and make the bed that I want, so there’s that. Until then, I am sleeping on the couch, which is kind of helping me stay motivated.

Classes: If I want to take the class I’m looking at, I would need to sign up for it soon, as it starts in April. However, I’m not sure about funding it at the moment.

Paintings: on hold while I figure out my room.

Redbubble: I may not have made any progress on it this week, however I will have plenty of time to do so soon, as I’ll be pet sitting for about two and a half weeks! Just have to hope I remember to do so.

Room: I’ve cleared almost a quarter of the carpet of debris! If you don’t count areas covered by furniture.

Social: I’ve had no time to think about it.

Streaming: haven’t had time to think about that either.

Thumb: unchanged

Website: unchanged

YouTube: unchanged

Other than that… I think I had something to say, but then I had to go do something and forgot what it was so… I hope you have a wonderful week, safe travels, and that daylight savings (if that’s something you have to deal with) doesn’t effect your health too badly!

Nest weaver

Surprise surprise, it’s sharpie on 3 by 5! And it will be sharpies for a while, as I have a container full of them, am trying to use up materials, and they are rather convenient while I figure out how to do other things.

Stuff and Things!

Classes: I minorly forgot about them, so I’m still not signed up… however things are looking a little more hopeful in the paying for them department if things line up right!

Paintings: Finished the last Cute or Creepy one! and then I actually looked up why I was having so many issues with some things… yeah… my last one especially would have looked better if I had known those things before hand, but such is life. Next is landscape paintings. As for pictures, I’m hoping to have enough to pay for everything I need to and have some left over for a light box or something after the next few stretches of pet sitting.

Redbubble: I think they changed some things for having a store (or I just missed something), so I have some things to change/update, however I hope to have it going soon! Also, while I am working on some things specifically for redbubble, if you see something I’ve made here and you want to be able to get it on something or just a sticker of it, leave a comment on it letting me know.

Social: I’m having a little bit of a dilemma, as my phone is running out of space, and I kinda need all of the things on it. I’m talking like don’t have any games on it, got rid of a method of communication (pretty much only used once in a blue moon with family, but STILL!!!) levels of running out of space. So I may need to forget about social for a bit, because it takes up too much space to try and keep right now, however social is one of THE methods for getting your stuff out there. So I’m not sure what to do yet.

Streaming: Will not be doing for most of next month due to pet sitting. And I’m contemplating adding another game, because the one I’m doing is sooooooo sloooooooow and not very conducive to engagement… And I’m already not a very engaging person.

Thumb: Is fine! While my efforts probably helped, it wasn’t as bad as I thought, and while there’s still a little recovering to do, it is no longer annoying, it just looks a little funny.

Website: unchanged, due to forgetfulness and anxiety.

YouTube: Unchanged.

… I think that’s pretty much it. Safe travels, and I hope you all have a wonderful week!
